The school is seeking a strategic, creative, and data-driven Content Strategist to elevate its brand through compelling storytelling and innovative marketing initiatives. The role involves leading content strategy across multiple channels to drive enrollment and boost brand awareness, collaborating across departments to craft meaningful content that connects with prospective families and reflects the school's community voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content strategies that support enrollment-driven email campaigns, paid ads, web pages, and marketing materials.
  • Amplify real student and family stories that reflect the Laurel Springs experience—creating shareable, emotionally resonant content across platforms.
  • Analyze competitors and industry trends to refine brand messaging and position Laurel Springs as a leader in online K-12 education.
  • Partner with internal teams to translate academic programs into clear, engaging, and persuasive marketing content.
  • Use analytics to measure content effectiveness, adjusting strategy to improve engagement, conversion, and visibility.
  • Craft press releases and collaborate with media outlets to generate brand exposure.
  • Lead initiatives such as podcasts, panel events, and other thought leadership content to expand brand presence.
  • Maintain consistent voice and tone across all written and visual content.
  • Apply SEO best practices to maximize website indexing and visibility; use tools like Google Analytics, Canva, and Bitly to track performance.
  • Create and manage UTM codes to monitor campaign effectiveness and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Create content that aligns with audience interests and supports enrollment goals.
  • Participate in school-wide meetings and virtual events, maintaining a professional and collaborative presence.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and self-improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or brand storytelling.
  • Proficient in SEO and content optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design platforms preferred.
  • Proven track record of writing high-impact, audience-specific content.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to interpret data, track KPIs, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Experience drafting press releases and generating media coverage.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across departments.
  • Project management skills to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Access to reliable high-speed internet and a professional work environment.
  • Creative vision and passion for education and content innovation.

Nice to Have

Qualifications
