Key Responsibilities

  • Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
  • Create proposal packages with general direction from the marketing leader.
  • Write, edit, proofread, and design proposals, qualification documents, reports, and presentation materials. Draft general proposal sections.
  • Work with regional management, business development, superintendents, and project managers to identify key points for competitive positioning in proposals.
  • Maintain proposal information in Unanet CRM database.
  • Prepare general information packets and AIA A305 documents; provide marketing related information for contractor qualification requirements.
  • Design layouts and generate graphic designs for proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials.
  • Coordinate production of collateral materials.
  • Coordinate photography.
  • Participate in project pursuit activities.
  • Attend pre-proposal meetings and other marketing meetings.
  • Research target markets, clients, and project opportunities.
  • Create submittals and support materials for interviews under project leads' direction.
  • Coordinate the planning of assigned events including concept, theme, goals, registration, invitations, travel, lodging, and materials.
  • Write copy for public relations, award submittals, etc., under the marketing leader's direction.
  • Identify ideas for releases, articles, speaking engagements, awards, and opportunities to share ideas.
  • Facilitate preparation and placement of advertisements.
  • Coordinate public relations activities.
  • Develop concepts, interview internal experts, and write copy.
  • Develop and implement direct mailings or announcements.
  • Design and develop graphic design and communications for advertising and collateral materials.
  • Develop and maintain regional marketing materials including project sheets, resumes, and firm overviews.
  • Coordinate efforts to identify opportunities, develop, proof, and submit original designs.
  • Coordinate efforts to gather media such as photography and video for marketing purposes.
  • Support primary and secondary market research efforts.
  • Interact with clients and industry partners to build relationships.
  • Support relationship building efforts through meetings and follow-ups.
  • Support data development and management processes including documentation and organization.
  • Assist with updates to resumes, project data, and reference letters.
  • Develop and document processes for marketing and internal organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
  • 2+ years of marketing experience required, with preference for AEC experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of the proposal process preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Illustrator experience is a plus.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
  • Effective communication skills (written, oral, listening).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships.

Nice to Have

  • AEC experience.
  • Experience with proposal processes.
  • Illustrator experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or related degree.
  • 2+ years of marketing experience.
