About the Role

The role of the Marketing Director is to lead client teams profitably, transform client relationships into advocacy, and contribute to business growth through strategic thought leadership and high team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop deep client and MPG relationships built on trust, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
  • Coach and develop team members to inspire personal associate development and expand the capabilities of the group.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and projects, setting and enforcing priorities.
  • Develop and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the clients' business, including consumer and shopper marketing, print and digital.
  • Participate in new business pitches, presenting capabilities, guiding shared content, and case study development.
  • Write clear and concise SOWs, project plans, and creative briefs.
  • Define project/business requirements and plans to ensure team and client alignment on deliverables, roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Lead team discussions, agency meetings, and client presentations that inspire action.
  • Lead cross-functional team collaboration and represent the holistic One MPG approach to clients.
  • Take on new roles, projects, and accounts as needed to support agency growth and capability expansion.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of combined experience in marketing, including agency and/or client-side experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working on both print and digital shopper and consumer marketing executions.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors for shopper activation, media planning, and production.
  • General understanding of media strategy and tactics.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Openness to learning AI tools and supporting an AI-enhanced working environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on both print and digital shopper and consumer marketing executions.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors for shopper activation, media planning, and production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing (agency + client side a plus).
