Job Description

About the Role

The Marketing Intern will contribute directly to Opry Entertainment's interactive, promotional, and advertising-based strategies to grow our audiences and purchasing customer base across our business units (Opry, Ryman Auditorium, and Ole Red). The summer internship will also focus on events and co-promotions in and around Nashville with key partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help drive initiatives to achieve audience growth goals through audience acquisition and lead generation.
  • Manage sweepstakes rollouts by working with the team to identify partnership opportunities, define plans and prizing details, develop briefs, coordinate timelines and rollout plans.
  • Track KPIs and handle prize fulfillment.
  • Assist in the coordination of partnership activation plans when applicable.
  • Coordinate and/or assist in the development of various marketing-related projects including creating project timelines, planning project needs, communicating with key stakeholders, updating the brand calendar, and providing project status updates.
  • Conduct regular audits/reviews of marketing elements such as websites, social media, in-venue, and third-party sites to maintain brand messaging quality and consistency.
  • Ensure fulfillment of exposure elements of sponsorship agreements and coordinate/executing sponsor-related requests.
  • Support additional projects like consumer insights research, onsite activation for events, promotional graphics prep, UTM creation, campaign overview decks, general team support, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program studying Music Business, Business, Communications, Marketing or related fields.
  • Previous experience in promotions, events planning, publicity, band management, or public relations is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Passion for entertainment, hospitality, marketing, business, with an interest in sales.
  • Great written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, including Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated with strong initiative and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to think on your feet with a smile.

Nice to Have

  • Social media marketing experience.
  • Experience with Adobe/Photoshop.
  • Basic understanding of HTML.
  • Good knowledge of country music.
