About the Role

The Gallagher Retail Brokerage Head of Marketing, Select is responsible for oversight of the US Select Marketing function, with an emphasis on generating growth opportunities for our US Small Business, Personal Lines and Independent Agency acquisition target markets. This position reports directly to the SVP of Marketing, GGB Americas, and works closely with the President of Gallagher Select (Markets) and Select Regional Leaders. The role involves collaborating with GGB-US and Corporate Marketing Teams to drive organic growth primarily through digital channels, develop marketing strategies, manage teams, and foster strategic partnerships within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary Marketing Functional Leader for the US Select organization, working closely with the President of Gallagher Select
  • Development and management of small business and personal marketing strategies, plans and related budgets, ensuring alignment with business priorities and sales goals
  • Management of US Select Marketing Team, including validation of strategies, initiatives, and plans; leading and mentoring the marketing team to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Identifying, establishing, and nurturing relationships with centers of influence and strategic partners to drive business growth, including negotiation of media and agency contracts
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies and plans to generate high-quality leads, utilizing digital marketing, content marketing, and other channels
  • Designing and executing marketing campaigns aimed at existing clients to increase product adoption and cross-sell opportunities, analyzing client data to identify upsell opportunities
  • Coordinating campaign execution plans with digital marketing teams to utilize SEO, SEM, social media, email, mobile, and content marketing techniques
  • Working closely with sales, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure alignment between marketing and sales objectives
  • Establishing KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness, analyzing campaign performance data, and providing insights for optimization
  • Conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, and using insights to inform marketing strategies
  • Evaluating marketing sponsorship and partnership opportunities, with responsibility for successful activation and execution of partnerships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience in insurance sales and management
  • Highly preferred: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7 - 15+ years relevant experience in B2B and B2C marketing or marketing consulting
  • Previous experience as a Marketing Leader with responsibility for digital marketing strategy, effectiveness, and reporting in a B2C Insurance or Financial Services organization
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience creating and leading integrated digital and traditional marketing strategies
  • Experience managing a multi-brand marketing portfolio and working across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience reporting on marketing effectiveness through dashboards and reports
  • Budget oversight and management experience, including paid media
  • Experience managing outside agencies and resources
  • Ability to develop long-term strategies with quick wins, and drive measurable organic growth
  • Demonstrated ability to create positive change and foster collaboration

Nice to Have

  • Experience handling a multi-brand marketing portfolio and working across several stakeholders and brands simultaneously in a leadership role
  • Experience reporting on marketing effectiveness through dashboards, monthly or quarterly reports
  • Marketing budget oversight and management, including paid media
  • Outside agency and resource management
  • Ability to develop long-term strategies combined with immediate/short-term quick wins
  • Demonstrate an ability to create positive change while driving measurable organic growth
