About the Role

The Marketing Manager provides marketing support to multiple Markets within a defined Area, working in conjunction with local leadership to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with national objectives. This role manages all area marketing communications, events, and local activities to maximize the impact of national programs, ensuring brand standards are maintained and marketing efforts support sales growth and account penetration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and develops the annual marketing plan in conjunction with Area Leadership.
  • Manages Area marketing spend and budgeting across all Markets in the Area.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and executes marketing and sales activities such as culinary events, sales meetings, and promotions/incentives.
  • Acts as the area's voice of marketing leadership for strategic initiatives like flyer promotions, product launches, and customer events.
  • Counsels and supports Area leadership to maximize the impact of marketing programs and best practices.
  • Manages marketing activities to support sales growth, profit increase, and account penetration.
  • Assesses local sponsorship and partnership opportunities, and assists with local media advertisements and promotional materials.
  • Implements and executes center-led marketing activities, reviewing and customizing materials as needed.
  • Develops marketing materials and communications to support area activities, managing distribution and tracking results.
  • Provides recommendations to improve promotional and marketing event results.
  • Partners with VPLS and VP Merchandising to align marketing initiatives with sales strategies.
  • Ensures brand standards are followed when creating local marketing materials and manages vendor/broker partnerships.
  • Provides sales force with product/program positioning and training materials.
  • Encourages the use of social media channels and collaboration tools within the area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working partnerships with internal and external resources.
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • Experience with content management and online marketing systems.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Advanced internet aptitude.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 20%.
  • A four-year college degree in business, marketing, communications, or advertising.

Nice to Have

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Experience with social media applications.
