About the Role

The Marketing Operations and Insights Manager - CRM at Medtronic is responsible for facilitating strategic prioritization and commercial marketing excellence by developing analytical capabilities, creating dashboards, providing actionable insights, and implementing operational innovations. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications, this role involves leading a newly formed team, managing cross-functional collaborations, and supporting strategic planning to enhance marketing effectiveness within the healthcare technology sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective decision making and execution of strategy in alignment with the vision and strategic direction of the marketing organization.
  • Lead and develop a team of individual contributors.
  • Serve as the hub for all marketing organization, global, and US field communications.
  • Ensure consistent methods of measurement across channels and audience.
  • Align timing of critical programs cross function to ensure adequate field focus and full support from the various marketing functions.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to develop annual and quarterly goals, metrics for the team, track progress and report on performance.
  • Function as a thought partner and serve in an advisory capacity to marketing and commercial leadership teams.
  • Facilitate operations functions in coordination with global marketing and commercial leaders, finance, and other relevant partners, including budgeting, marketing enablement, digital infrastructure, analytics, and data management.
  • Lead the preparation of key marketing team deliverables through cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Create, manage, and develop the Marketing Operations and Insights organization.
  • Support strategic planning processes such as 10Q, Strategic Plan, and Annual Operating Plan for the CRM division.
  • Develop processes to facilitate functional alignment to strategic plans and objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead strategic initiatives through prioritization, meeting facilitation, and analytics.
  • Lead analytics for the commercial marketing team, including activity impact assessments and scoring.
  • Prepare business proposals, make strategic recommendations, and implement operational plans.
  • Build digital infrastructure to support future marketing endeavors.
  • Develop and execute global and US communications strategies, including channel development.
  • Respond to urgent business issues and opportunities, developing and sharing insights to position the business for success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in marketing and/or sales, preferably in medical devices or with an advanced degree and at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record recruiting, leading, and developing teams.
  • Strong marketing fundamentals in targeting, segmentation, positioning, and channel management.
  • Global mindset and ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic approaches.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into succinct findings and strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication skills to summarize complex strategies and data clearly.
  • Experience with strategic business planning, market research, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated success in people or program management.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or Master's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of people management experience with proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
  • Power BI experience in building and maintaining dashboards.
  • Experience in business development and/or strategy functions.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience generating creative business ideas and strategies.
  • Experience leading change initiatives.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities, financial acumen, and business judgment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing and/or sales, with preference for medical device experience or an advanced degree with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
