About the Role

The Marketing Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine (NM), adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. They are an important individual contributor within the Marketing division, expected to be collaborative, results-driven, organized with a keen attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking, and delivering flawless execution of projects. The role involves working with a range of clients within and beyond NM, supporting the development and execution of marketing plans, and creating engaging content for various channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the manager and team in identified marketing projects, including multi-tasking and anticipating project needs.
  • Create building blocks of NM's marketing plans and learn fundamentals of strategic marketing.
  • Develop key elements of marketing plans and marketing materials.
  • Support internal client relationships by understanding their needs, delivering high-quality materials, and managing feedback effectively.
  • Manage and publish physician-facing content to 6 service line X accounts and 1 LinkedIn page 2-3 times per day, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with business objectives.
  • Suggest 1-2 paid posts per service line each month and coordinate with agency partners.
  • Craft post copy for consumer-facing channels: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Threads.
  • Create post copy for physician-facing channels: 6 X accounts and 1 LinkedIn page.
  • Partner with clinical subject matter experts to cite clinical information appropriately in creative designs.
  • Submit all post copy and graphic design content through internal reviews.
  • Develop turnkey graphics for social media posts, including infographics, quote graphics, Instagram stories, patient takeovers, research spotlights, and awards recognition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of comparable experience.
  • An additional 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proactive and constructive attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of healthcare industry and academic medical centers.
  • Agency or client-side healthcare marketing experience or internship.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or a related field.
