Job Description

About the Role

The Oncology Regional Marketing Leader (ADRML) for Lung in the Rocky Mountains at AstraZeneca is responsible for developing and implementing regional marketing plans that align with brand strategy and influence local brand support. The role involves leveraging clinical knowledge to impact patient care, coordinating with oncology business managers and national account directors, generating customer insights, and engaging regional customers to build market leadership. The ADRML works closely with the RML team leader and reports to the Head of Regional Marketing, operating within a global pharmaceutical company committed to transforming cancer treatment and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Regional Marketing Plans that align with brand strategy and influence local brand support.
  • Identify and effectively engage a core group of 35-50 National and Regional ESEs using advanced scientific, communication, and business skills.
  • Generate timely and actionable customer insights through interactions such as 1:1s, congresses, consultancies, and advisory board meetings to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage multiple program budgets, timelines, processes, and procedures ethically and compliantly.
  • Collaborate with field sales leadership, ADs, and Brand Teams to develop and execute local strategies based on market opportunities.
  • Work during evenings and weekends as needed, with overnight travel up to 50%, including Hawaii and overseas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry, including managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, or strategic planning.
  • At least 3 years of Oncology marketing and/or sales experience.
  • Documented success in partnership-building with industry thought leaders.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced Degree (MS, MBA, or PhD).
  • 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, or strategic planning.
  • 5 years of Oncology marketing or sales experience.
  • Extensive, documented thought leader/key opinion leader (KOL) management.
