Job Description

About the Role

The role involves developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, and automated scripts to ensure that software and technical products meet and exceed quality standards. The position includes analyzing requirements, testing system modifications, documenting defects, and supporting overall software quality. The analyst will also mentor junior staff and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve software quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze moderately complex requirements, operational problems, specifications, and change requests to produce test plans and test cases.
  • Perform test execution of assigned test cases and monitor test cases, scripts, and data with pre-determined results within scheduled dates.
  • Research and provide technical support on operational/test system defects and propose solutions.
  • Analyze test results to ensure functionality meets requirements and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and software modification.
  • Consult with development engineers to resolve problems.
  • Provide feedback for technical appraisals of systems, interfaces, and software.
  • Guide and mentor a team of testers, including supporting associates, contractors, and third-party resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 5 years of experience in software development and/or testing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of software test requirements and protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Knowledge of wireless communications and network systems.
  • Advanced programming skills in a programming language.
  • Working experience with databases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail.
