About the Role

The OPO Brand Specialist at the University of Miami's Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency (LAORA) is responsible for enhancing the organization's brand and building strong online communities through social media and web-based platforms. The role involves developing and administering engaging social media content, managing web page content, and supporting marketing strategies to increase awareness and engagement. The position supports LAORA's mission by promoting brand growth and fostering community relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy for LAORA social media to achieve marketing targets by supporting overall brand priorities and driving continual engagement with a forward-thinking approach.
  • Act as champion of new ideas for social media opportunities, including evaluation of new platforms and potential partnerships.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop social media campaigns that help achieve corporate marketing goals.
  • Oversee and approve content calendars for all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Use strategic data to provide insights and guide social media communications strategy and business/consumer intelligence.
  • Run and develop social media reports such as monthly reports, ad hoc reports, campaign recaps, and influencer performance recaps.
  • Create and manage influencer campaigns, including evaluation, negotiation, and performance tracking.
  • Innovate and champion growth-driving programs within the organization, including potential partnerships.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, measurable social media strategy across all relevant platforms.
  • Benchmark and monitor competitors and industry leaders to apply best practices.
  • Represent LAORA to current and potential corporate partners.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and safeguard assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant social media and marketing experience.
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written form.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
