The Paid Search Manager role involves managing and optimizing search marketing programs across Google Ads, with a focus on Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns, to drive growth and reach new customers in a data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of paid search campaigns across Search, Shopping, and Performance Max from keyword research and ad creation to bid management and creative testing
  • Manage and optimize campaign performance: keyword research, bidding strategies, ad creation, creative testing, and budget allocation to maximize ROAS and CPA efficiency
  • Develop and execute a testing roadmap to continuously improve results and scale winning strategies
  • Own and manage the product catalog feed for over 5,000 SKUs, ensuring accuracy, optimization, and performance through tools like Google Merchant Center and Feedonomics
  • Monitor performance, analyze results, and provide insights that influence broader growth marketing and merchandising strategies
  • Partner with marketing, creative & merchandising teams to develop and optimize ad copy, creative assets, and landing pages that improve CTR, conversion, and ROAS
  • Stay ahead of platform advancements (automation, AI-driven bidding, campaign types) and apply them strategically to drive growth
  • Collaborate with site and content teams to explore cross-channel synergies, supporting broader search visibility (SEO) and testing opportunities across paid and organic search
  • Maintain awareness of emerging AIO (AI Optimization) practices to ensure Grove's search programs remain competitive
  • Manage budgets and forecasting to ensure efficient allocation of spend across campaigns and product categories

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale paid search programs in-house
  • Proven track record with Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max) and feed management tools (Google Merchant Center, Feedonomics, or similar)
  • Experience managing large product catalogs (1,000+ SKUs) with attention to data integrity and optimization
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with tools like Looker, Tableau, Google Analytics, and Google Merchant Center
  • Expertise in keyword research, bidding strategies (manual and automated), and creative optimization
  • Strong understanding of bidding strategies, automation, budget allocation, and campaign segmentation
  • History of building and executing testing roadmaps with measurable performance outcomes
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset, with a balance of analytical rigor and creative problem-solving
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to manage complex campaigns and data feeds while keeping an eye on broader business goals
  • A self-starter who is inquisitive, proactive, and always looking for new opportunities to optimize performance and drive growth
  • Excited to expand skills into areas like SEO and AIO, collaborating across teams to explore innovative search strategies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-driven bidding and automation tools
  • Knowledge of SEO and organic search strategies
  • Familiarity with cross-channel marketing and merchandising strategies

Qualifications

  • Educational background is not explicitly specified in the description

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $100,000 - $125,000, adjusted based on market-specific cost of living
  • Eligible for an annual incentive target and equity
  • Work in a company committed to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-moving, data-driven environment with growth potential
