About the Role

Gartner Digital Markets is a business unit within Gartner dedicated to helping small businesses make the right technology decisions and find the tools they need to grow, optimize, and become more effective. It comprises four leading brands—Capterra, Software Advice, GetApp, and UpCity—and offers a fast-paced, innovative environment combined with the stability and resources of a large organization. The role involves driving growth of the global partner program, working with senior leadership, and building strategic relationships with third-party organizations serving B2B technology buyers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a compelling vision for how to leverage assets and drive shared value with prospective partners
  • Build a pipeline of quality partner opportunities through research and prospecting of key high-impact industries
  • Pitch opportunities to prospective partners with clarity, passion and expertise
  • Interface closely with internal content, brand marketing, and product teams to leverage existing assets or develop new assets as needed and to ensure successful implementation
  • Negotiate partnership contract terms through to signing, considering payment structure and implementation requirements from partner organizations based on product/engineering specs (e.g. APIs, performance tracking, commission and/or payment terms), and ensure a smooth graduation to the account management team
  • Collect and share key insights from partner pitches and use feedback to identify improvements to the program
  • Ensure financial forecasts are met and develop forward-looking growth plans

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of professional experience, ideally with 1+ years in business development or affiliate sales
  • Maturity, confidence and a growth mindset; comfortable with cold introductions and objection handling
  • Sound excel skills and strategic business judgment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and performance advertising models, including CPMs, CPL, CVR%, Multi Touch Attribution, LTV
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience designing new deals and drafting agreements
  • Existing relationships with corporate executives at organizations catering to B2B audiences such as Financial Services, Trade Associations & Advocacy Groups targeting small business leaders
  • BA or BS degree
