About the Role

The Clutches & Brakes Division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Segment is seeking a Business Development Manager for our Global Mining Markets. Regal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit, and control motion across various end markets including metals and mining, factory automation, aerospace, and more. The role involves leading market strategy, customer engagement, and technical support to grow share and develop strategic relationships within the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for sales of Clutches & Brakes products into the designated market, directly and/or indirectly through RRX Commercial Sales organization, including cross-selling to end users, distributors, contractors, and OEMs globally and locally.
  • Work with all designated key Clutches & Brakes personnel to ensure coordination of overall market strategy, including Brand, Strategic Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and Design.
  • Win and secure customer specifications and preferences for Regal Rexnord's full Clutches & Brakes portfolio in the given market.
  • Drive profitable share gains at key accounts, segments (such as steel, aluminum, metal processing), regions (e.g., NA), and with specific portions of the Rexnord portfolio.
  • Coordinate and support share gain activities at top global strategic accounts and identify, prospect, and support activities to grow share at new strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations to create standard operating procedures in Salesforce to document and track activities related to share growth.
  • Manage, support, and grow the top account opportunity funnel by leveraging new/differentiated products and previous successes into similar account locations.
  • Assist SAE's/AE's in monitoring, developing, implementing, and communicating strategic account initiatives to ensure alignment of product, placement, promotion, and pricing strategies.
  • Develop and support strategic relationships with key decision makers at high-growth/complex strategic End Users.
  • Partner with RRX field service team to increase capacity and leverage offerings to boost business and product sales.
  • Act as Regal Rexnord's solution expert for Clutches & Brakes strategic accounts, including leading value propositions, technical presentations, customer visits, webinars, and specification influence activities.
  • Develop customer value propositions utilizing a value-based methodology and deploy these into customer-facing content and sales enablement materials.
  • Provide product technical support to SAE's/AE's, CAMs, and channel partners.
  • Capture Voice-of-Customer insights through engagement and observation, articulate market needs, and champion ideas for new product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education/experience.
  • Experience working with or in mining markets and industries.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40-60%.
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of Rexnord's solutions.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to set high expectations and deliver results.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to overcome objections.
  • Self-starter with action-oriented attitude and a 'can do' approach.
  • Skilled in Office 365 suite (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Kaizen and Lean concepts.
  • Knowledge of 80/20 Methodology.
  • Ideal candidate will be located in the Midwest or East Coast, but other locations considered.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with strategic account management and technical product presentations.
  • Knowledge of market problems and customer engagement strategies.
  • Experience with value-based selling and developing customer value propositions.
