About the Role

The Clutches & Brakes Division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Segment is seeking a Business Development Manager for our North American Distribution Channels. Regal Rexnord is a global industrial manufacturer providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit, and control motion across various end markets including factory automation, aerospace, medical, and more. The role involves developing strategic relationships, driving share gains, and acting as a solution expert within the North American market, primarily focusing on distribution channels and key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for sales of Clutches & Brakes products into the given market, directly and/or indirectly through RRX Commercial Sales organization, including cross-selling to end users, distributors, contractors, and OEMs.
  • Work with designated key Clutches & Brakes personnel to coordinate overall market strategy, including Brand, Strategic Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and Design.
  • Win and secure customer specifications and preferences for Regal Rexnord's Clutches & Brakes portfolio in the market.
  • Drive profitable share gains at key accounts, segments, regions, and with specific portions of the Rexnord portfolio.
  • Coordinate and support share gain activities at top global strategic accounts and identify new prospects to grow share at new strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations to create standard operating procedures in Salesforce to document and track activities related to share growth.
  • Manage and grow the top account opportunity funnel by leveraging new/differentiated products and previous successes.
  • Assist SAE's/AE's in developing, implementing, and communicating strategic account initiatives to ensure alignment of end-user offerings and functions.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key decision makers at high-growth/complex strategic end users.
  • Partner with RRX field service team to increase capacity and leverage offerings to boost product sales.
  • Act as Regal Rexnord's solution expert for Clutches & Brakes strategic accounts, including leading technical presentations, supporting customer visits, webinars, and specification influence activities.
  • Develop customer value propositions for Clutches & Brakes products using a value-based methodology and deploy these into customer-facing content and sales enablement tools.
  • Provide technical product support to SAE's/AE's, CAMs, and channel partners.
  • Capture Voice-of-Customer insights through engagement and observation, and champion ideas that address market problems as part of the NPD process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education/experience.
  • Experience working with North American Distribution Channels, ideally within the clutches and brakes industry.
  • Location preference for the Midwest or East Coast, with openness to other locations.
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of Rexnord's solutions.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40-60%.
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to set high expectations and deliver results.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to overcome objections.
  • Self-starter with action-oriented mindset and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Skilled in Office 365 suite (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Kaizen and Lean concepts.
  • Knowledge of 80/20 Methodology.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the clutches and brakes industry.
  • Additional experience with strategic account management and technical sales.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.

Qualifications
