Key Responsibilities

  • Provide digital marketing leadership oversight for Patient Access Marketing programs that drive enrollment into the Amgen By Your Side program, onboard patients to their medication, and drive adherence throughout treatment.
  • Provide patient access marketing partnership for the Ultra-Rare Medicines portfolio, including PROCYSBI, ACTIMMUNE, RAVICTI, and BUPHENYL.
  • Drive strategy and development/maintenance of the Amgen By Your Side website, including content development, database integration, and new features such as enrollment pathways.
  • Develop patient enrollment, initiation, and adherence programs to motivate and change behavior, including mobile messaging platforms and digital engagement tools.
  • Create and implement multi-channel communication programs for patient services, working with cross-functional partners such as patient services, government affairs, value & access, and communications.
  • Partner with Ultra-Rare patient services and brand teams to support adherence and prevent discontinuation.
  • Support and maintain the Amgen By Your Side brand identity and core messages, ensuring consistency internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing teams to develop and integrate patient services narratives into the overall brand narrative.
  • Define, monitor, and report on KPIs related to patient services marketing programs.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans as input into the brand-specific annual planning process.
  • Manage budget, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Work closely with regulatory, legal, and medical affairs teams on program and content development, managing tactics through the MAC process.
  • Manage at least one direct report.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of managing patient or consumer digital marketing experience.
  • Or Master's degree and 6 years of managing patient or consumer digital marketing experience.
  • Or Bachelor's degree and 8 years of managing patient or consumer digital marketing experience.
  • Or Associate's degree and 10 years of managing patient or consumer digital marketing experience.
  • Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of managing patient or consumer digital marketing experience.
  • And 2 years of managerial experience managing people, leading teams, projects, or programs.

  • Demonstrated experience with leading and implementing technology that contributes to business needs and goals.
  • Innovation-focused mindset and curiosity about new technologies and methods to reach patients and improve processes.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional partners, agency relationships, and deliverables.
  • Ability to navigate a large matrix organization and manage a portfolio of products.
  • Experience managing a team of at least one direct report.
  • Experience with rare disease preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels to drive initiation, adherence, and compliance.
  • Experience working across multiple projects and managing external vendors.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree, Master's degree, Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or High school diploma / GED, with corresponding years of experience.
