About the Role

Infosys is seeking a Strong retail domain & Performance Test Lead with PT and PE skills. As a Performance Test Lead, you will act as a Performance testing and Engineering expert and review the performance of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. Key Responsibilities

  • Review the performance of existing systems and conduct requirement analysis.
  • Define test strategy, design tests, and lead execution to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios.
  • Guide and coach product teams (PO, Business team) to consider non-functional requirements early in the software development lifecycle.
  • Assess end-to-end system performance and define strategies for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Create performance engineering strategies, present to client stakeholders, and track review comments to closure.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, and tools.
  • Collect performance measurements to ensure system reliability, capacity, and scalability.
  • Analyze results to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
  • Evaluate areas for performance optimization and provide recommendations.
  • Integrate performance workload scripts into DevOps CI/CD pipelines or configure new pipelines.
  • Create performance test scenarios simulating real-world load patterns and develop realistic workload models.
  • Monitor the performance of networks, databases, applications, or other systems.
  • Communicate effectively with architects and developers to gather requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in performance engineering in lieu of education.
  • Located within commuting distance of Fortmill, SC or willing to relocate.
  • 4 years of experience in performance engineering, including 3+ years leading end-to-end performance engineering delivery.
  • Experience in transforming current performance engineering landscape to meet current needs.
  • Experience guiding and coaching product teams on non-functional requirements.
  • Ability to assess system performance and define strategies for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Experience creating performance engineering strategies and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in designing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance scripts.
  • Expertise in at least one APM tool (Splunk, Dynatrace, Profiler) and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of monitoring networks, databases, applications, or other systems.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams.
  • Exposure to Azure and GCP cloud platforms.
  • Experience or familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, or API Orchestrators is desired.
  • Experience in driving CoE initiatives, creating process frameworks, and capability building.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in understanding the product, analyzing user stories, performing data analysis, and developing test scenarios.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Good understanding of the Software Test lifecycle activities through multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of Playwright is a plus.
  • Analytical skills and strong communication skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
  • Ability to work in a team with diverse and multiple stakeholders.
