About the Role

The Presidential Leadership Academy (PLA) seeks a talented intern to support its social media, communications, and marketing efforts. The role involves developing content for digital and print communications, assisting with social media campaigns, and providing marketing support through research and analysis. The internship offers an opportunity to contribute to the promotion of PLA programs and engage with students and alumni through various media channels.

Key Responsibilities

Develop story lines for PLA website as well as other digital and print communications.
Assist with marketing specifically for social media for PLA recruitment.
Prepare and release key social media releases on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Interview PLA students and alumni for PLA stories, including weekly campaigns posted on Instagram and Facebook.
Assist PLA staff with photo shoots, events, and special projects as needed.
Provide marketing support through research and analysis of current campaigns and the development of new campaigns.
Support current projects and projects in development with tactical communications.

Requirements

Proficiency in writing, editing, and content creation for print, web, and social media.
Ability to develop story lines and create engaging content for various media platforms.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to assist with photo shoots, events, and special projects.
Experience or interest in marketing, social media, and digital communications is preferred.

Nice to Have

Experience with social media management and content creation.
Familiarity with marketing research and campaign development.
Previous experience in communications or related fields.

Qualifications

Current student or recent graduate with an interest in communications, marketing, or related fields.
