The role of Principal Product Marketing Manager, Builder Experience, involves supporting Twilio's growth by driving awareness and adoption of the Platform and builder experiences, focusing on empowering developers and customers through new Console and API tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of our customers, including technical and non-technical builders, through research and direct engagement, and use that insight to shape our go-to-market strategy and product roadmap.
  • Develop compelling, audience-specific messaging, positioning, and content that differentiates Twilio's Platform in the market.
  • Lead cross-functional product launches, working across marketing, Product, Sales Enablement, GTM, and Support teams to drive awareness, demand, and usage of new products and experiences.
  • Champion our customers while influencing product development and ensuring alignment with customer needs through the Twilio Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC).
  • Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences to help them maximize usage of the Twilio Platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing or technical marketing.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to build deep domain expertise through primary and secondary research.
  • Ability to turn data into a story and craft compelling presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience managing projects and getting things done.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with technology products targeting developers with cloud-based services or API solutions.
  • Understanding of developer communities or developer tooling.
  • Experience in the global market around programmable communications or related technologies.
  • Ability to build a Twilio app oneself.
  • Good understanding of Twilio's value proposition.
