About the Role

The Product Director, Strategic Marketing, Advanced Technology at Edwards is responsible for leading market development activities, including clinical marketing and market intelligence initiatives, for the APTURE transcatheter shunt program and other advanced technologies. The role involves collaborating with key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and internal teams to drive access, awareness, and market shaping efforts in the heart failure space. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Strategic Marketing (AT) and offers an opportunity to influence the future of structural heart technology through innovative marketing strategies and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of targeted podium strategies across global conferences to maximize the impact of APTURE evidence and differentiation.
  • Collaborate closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and physicians on data presentations and amplify APTURE messaging across channels.
  • Partner with clinical affairs to lead discussions during Executive Committee, Steering Committee, and principal investigator meetings.
  • Develop and communicate APTURE's value proposition in alignment with multiple functions and create supporting marketing assets such as print materials and speaker decks.
  • Provide marketing leadership for APTURE differentiation initiatives and support publication strategies with Medical Affairs.
  • Support Therapy Awareness and Market Development initiatives and regularly update senior leadership on key projects.
  • Lead market research initiatives in the Heart Failure space to inform strategy and gather insights from external stakeholders.
  • Be the resident expert on the Heart Failure space and provide insights to inform product roadmap and clinical trial strategy.
  • Manage external vendors, creative agencies, and consultants as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience in medical device marketing or healthcare industry, or Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong clinical depth and ability to form trusted partnerships with KOLs and physicians.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations and have productive, respectful conversations.
  • Experience with clinical data analytics and data visualization is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in Cardiology, Structural Heart Disease, or Heart Failure is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex clinical and market information into stakeholder-specific messages.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead through influence across functions.
  • Excellent presentation, content development, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to develop creative solutions and demonstrate positivity, openness to change, and collaboration.

Nice to Have

  • Medical device marketing expertise with a successful track record of marketing program development and execution.
  • Experience with clinical data analytics and creative data visualization.
  • Experience in Cardiology, Structural Heart Disease, or Heart Failure.

Qualifications

  • Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a related field with relevant industry experience.

  • Base pay range for California is $170,000 to $241,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
