The role involves managing product and market strategies within the Signal & Power Connectivity team, focusing on regional and global initiatives, new product development, and customer engagement to drive innovation, optimize margins, and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking.
  • Provide materials to support go-to-market strategies, including channel strategy and partnerships.
  • Work with R&D and operations to develop new products meeting current and future customer requirements.
  • Handle the product lifecycle by providing product trend analysis.
  • Work cross-functionally to achieve sales, technology, and operations goals aligned with financial objectives.
  • Perform regular data analysis to understand trends, customer segmentation, and regional insights.
  • Develop the Product Business Plan (PBP) and implement pricing policies.
  • Assist in developing the annual operating plan, including sales and gross margin targets.
  • Prepare financial analyses supporting new product launches.
  • Lead discussions for G1 and G2 opportunities with management.
  • Provide product information and samples to customers and sales teams for new product launches.
  • Create RTS requests for new product development projects.
  • Gather product specifications and attributes for marketing collateral development.
  • Provide demand forecast inputs for the S&OP process.
  • Perform pricing analysis for catalog price changes or special requests.
  • Develop sales forecasts for the S&OP plan.
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, customer service, and field application engineering on product development.
  • Work with finance on product cost and gross margin analysis to identify cost drivers and increase margins.
  • Analyze excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Support resolution of product issues related to delivery, quality, and inventory.
  • Coordinate and implement product and applications training.
  • Participate and manage global strategy initiatives.
  • Drive portfolio decisions to improve efficiency and margins.
  • Optimize global portfolio including localization, transfers, and pruning based on customer needs.
  • Focus on proliferation of existing portfolio through sales and customer reviews.
  • Lead global innovation discussions with engineering, FAE, and sales based on market needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management or Product Strategy experience.
  • Relevant product or industry experience, especially in Low-Voltage Terminals and Connectors.
  • A 4-year technical or business degree.
  • Strong business acumen and good commercial and process understanding.
  • Ability and desire to manage people is preferred, though the role is primarily an individual contributor.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities.
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills, with ability to build effective teams.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and challenging targets.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-25%).

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience.

  • 4-year technical or business degree.
