About the Role

The Product Marketing, Sr. Specialist at Lenovo is responsible for developing and evolving product stories from ideation through launch, communicating features compellingly, and articulating consumer benefits from complex technology. The role involves analyzing customer experience metrics, understanding competitive value propositions, and working closely with engineering and product management to define and position next-generation smartphones. This position has high visibility across the organization and requires collaboration with marketing, PR, product teams, and external agencies to ensure successful product launches and messaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop value proposition, product positioning, target customer definition, naming, key selling points, and features and benefits prioritization for Motorola's premium devices.
  • Represent the voice of the consumer during the product development process, providing feedback to product management and engineering partners.
  • Influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership in key decisions to benefit consumers, customers, and the business.
  • Design market intelligence and research to analyze trends, competitive offerings, market segmentation, customer needs, and feature tradeoffs.
  • Partner with internal creative teams to develop marketing creative and customer sell-in materials.
  • Author product marketing briefs (PMBs) for use by customer-facing teams and coordinate briefings for integrated marketing teams and agencies.
  • Contribute to the development of global launch strategies and go-to-market plans.
  • Partner closely with PR on new product introductions, including reviewer guides, blog posts, and press presentations.
  • Participate as Subject Matter Expert in high-profile device launch announcements, press briefings, and media interviews.

Requirements

  • Very strong fluency in the English language, with all key deliverables and messaging in English.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Product Marketing, or Communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
  • Experience interacting with staff, colleagues, management, and global cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong English verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive with a strong problem-solving attitude.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset, motivated, results-oriented, and a creative thinker.
  • Ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

  • Passion for technology.
  • Experience within the consumer electronics, handset/mobility, or technology industries, especially in the premium tier.
  • Knowledge of retail and carrier marketing and sales processes worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of related experience in marketing or product marketing.
