About the Role

The Programmatic Advertising Operations Manager at Xumo, part of Comcast Corporation, is responsible for managing the daily activities related to programmatic monetization of Xumo video app and device inventory. The role involves traffic and report analysis, troubleshooting, partner and platform support, and creating technical and financial reports to maximize revenue. The position supports sales teams with technical knowledge, develops processes and procedures, and ensures operational standards are met. The role is office-based in Irvine, CA, with some flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans daily activities and assigns tasks, ensuring all tasks are carried out according to proper policies and procedures and are in line with overall strategy.
  • Creates and maintains financial reports including revenue, forecasting, and budget reports.
  • Facilitates sales material and resource needs by researching and communicating technical capabilities and solutions.
  • Utilizes and grows deep understanding of core programmatic protocols and formats such as VAST, oRTB, privacy protocols, and data enrichment.
  • Works to gain expert knowledge of SSP and DSP platforms to maximize revenue through partner collaboration, optimizing app and content signal coverage, and coordinating inventory access for PMP deal opportunities.
  • Monitors inventory and recommends strategies for optimal use of available inventory.
  • Interfaces with Ad Sales and other departments to coordinate ad packages, sponsorships, and ad options.
  • Creates work performance standards and remains responsive to internal departments and external clients to resolve operational questions and issues.
  • Implements operational policies and procedures.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Works nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience with Programmatic Advertising and advertising platforms.
  • Strong relationship and partnership abilities.
  • Ability to understand and utilize business reports and analytical data to support sales initiatives.
  • Knowledge of core Programmatic protocols and formats such as VAST, oRTB, privacy protocols, and data enrichment.
  • Familiarity with SSP and DSP platforms.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or extensive related professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ad tech platforms and tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and optimization strategies.

  • Relevant work experience of 5-7 years.
