Job Description

About the Role

The Michigan Lottery is looking for a dependable, honest, motivated, and hardworking individual with a positive attitude and strong ethical standards to join our team. The role involves developing advertising and promotional programs for all Lottery games, managing budgets, ensuring brand safety, and analyzing campaign effectiveness. The position also serves as a liaison with advertising contractors and assists in vendor activities and campaign deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the program specialist responsible for the development of advertising and promotional programs for all Lottery games.
  • Develop and monitor the annual marketing budget to ensure advertising expenditures are consistent with appropriations.
  • Develop and monitor advertising guidelines to ensure communication strategies and tactics align with Lottery brand safety goals.
  • Create alternative strategies for programs based on analysis and research.
  • Serve as the liaison with the Lottery's general advertising services contractor and digital advertising services contractor.
  • Assist in facilitating internal and external vendor activities, including creating and maintaining project schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor the deployment of campaigns and deliver reporting and analysis of advertising activities to evaluate program success and identify opportunities.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any area.
  • Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Promotional Agent, including two years equivalent to a Promotional Agent P11 or one year equivalent to a Promotional Agent 12.
  • Experience in developing advertising and promotional programs.
  • Ability to develop and monitor budgets and guidelines.
  • Experience in liaising with contractors and managing vendor activities.
  • Ability to analyze and research program strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any area.
  • Four years of relevant professional experience.
