About the Role

The Promotions Manager develops, coordinates, organizes, and ensures successful completion of promotions and advertising for their assigned Wind Creek Hospitality property. The role involves creating engaging promotions to drive growth in player profitability, brand engagement, and hotel occupancy, while ensuring compliance with gaming regulations. The position emphasizes a positive, energetic work environment aligned with the company's purpose of providing guests with an exciting experience and fostering a sense of belonging and importance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates, implements and executes promotions (immediate, short and long range) to ensure growth in player profitability and overall brand engagement while retaining existing customers and acquiring new customers.
  • Designs and executes promotions for the Casinos that drives play, trips, time on device, increased brand engagement and hotel occupancy (where applicable).
  • Develops canned instantaneous promotions with collateral support via all media/communication options that can be implemented immediately; communicates and works with other departments to determine criteria/standard procedures for instantaneous promotions usage.
  • Ensures that promotions are creative, bring energy to the property, and adhere to Tribal Gaming Commission and/or PGCB regulations.
  • Creates reports and measurements of promotions to ensure they meet or exceed expectations of play, trips, time on device, increased brand engagement and hotel occupancy.
  • Maintains an ongoing schedule of promotions as outlined in the property marketing plan.
  • Prepares financial pro forma projections of expected profitability for proposed promotions and reviews the results of past promotions and events; makes recommendations for the feasibility of repeating or modifying those promotions.
  • Develops theme, format and budget specifications for all promotions.
  • Coordinates and acts as master of ceremonies for promotions and special events related to the casino.
  • Coordinates all décor requirements for promotions.
  • Determines staffing needs and ensures proper work schedules necessary to implement promotions.
  • Ensures public awareness of events.
  • Directs, oversees, and assists leadership and team with planning of promotions, entertainment, and other marketing projects.
  • Distributes promotional materials online, throughout the casino, and local area as needed.
  • Completes required paperwork and reporting for promotion winners including winners' releases and IRS 1099 forms.
  • Handles special assignments from leadership.
  • Communicates all events and information related to the events to operating departments to ensure timely coordination and customer service.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with all operating departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Related Field AND two (2) years supervisory or management experience in Marketing.
  • OR Four (4) years' experience in a Management position in Marketing.
  • OR Three (3) years' experience in a Supervisory position in Marketing with Wind Creek Hospitality.
  • Must have five (5) years' experience in a major casino or resort environment with a proven track record of increasing revenues.
  • Experienced and proficient user in Microsoft Excel; a skills test will be administered and candidate must achieve at least 70% skills pass rate.
  • Must pass an interview panel regarding communication skills, guest services skills, and demonstrate a friendly, helpful personality and positive attitude.
  • Must have strong leadership, organizational, communication, human relations, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition.
  • Exceptional service attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Public speaking experience preferred.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work calmly in high-pressure situations.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as required.
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Willing to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with event planning and promotions in a casino or resort environment.
  • Experience with media and communication channels for promotions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Related Field.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a major casino or resort environment.
