Proposal Consultant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, complete, and produce proposal requests for complex opportunities from internal business partners such as Account Executives, Solution Architects, Product and Services Consultants, Managing Directors, and Senior Management.
• Develop strong relationships with internal clients, facilitate effective communication, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Train and mentor new associates and serve as a team leader or coach for others on the team.
• Lead initiatives that drive efficiencies and improve processes across the team and broader organization.
• Develop strategy plans in collaboration with Account Executives, Solution Architects, and Product & Service Consultants based on project requirements.
• Plan, organize, and manage proposal activities including timelines and deliverables.
• Research appropriate project responses using supplied databases and other sources.
• Display strong product and technical knowledge within the supported market and Fidelity services.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and ensure quality responses.
• Ensure responses are aligned with questions, eliminate redundancies, and leverage learnings from previous efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Marketing, English, or Journalism preferred.
• Three plus years of financial industry experience and/or three to five years of proposal management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage all moving parts and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with business partners and team members at all levels.
• Strong collaboration and networking skills, with the ability to manage expectations at higher organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the financial industry.
• Experience in proposal management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, or Journalism (preferred).
