PT Marketing Specialist (Hartford)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with all functions of digital marketing, including email marketing, website development, and more.
• Support daily management, posting, monitoring, and driving the growth of CTtransit social media channels, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Research industry trends and competitor analysis to inform social media strategies.
• Assist in the maintenance and editing of news stories and blogs.
• Maintain and update the organization's website on request.
• Maintain and update the email database and customer data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for effective marketing campaigns.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with all levels of personnel.
• Attend in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by CTtransit, and/or as assigned by Management.
• Remain flexible to provide support on nights, weekends, holidays & during emergencies to support our 24/7/365 operation.
• Travel and provide support to other departments and divisions with HR, Finance and other administrative technology related functions as assigned.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree with major course work in marketing, communications, multi-media, public relations or a closely related field and one (1) year of relevant work experience.
• An equivalent combination of education, course work and work experience on a year for year basis can be substituted for the 4-year degree requirement.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient experience with MS 365, Office.
• Experience with marketing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media marketing tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of social media such as TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
• Ability to work independently and accurately in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent self-management, communication, and team-based participation.
• The ability to prioritize projects and have excellent communication (especially verbal), interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, in a fast-paced environment, to multitask, work for multiple managers.
• Customer-focused and capable of relating well at all levels of the organization.
• Basic photography skills are a plus.
• A valid drivers' license is required. Individual may be required to travel in the course of their daily work.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, multi-media, public relations or a closely related field.
• One (1) year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
