About the Role

The Quality Assurance Analyst II supports the Online Lending Software Development team by applying software quality assurance principles throughout the software development life cycle. The role involves analyzing and validating business requirements, documenting testing strategies, executing tests, ensuring data quality and user interface functionality, and providing customer support. This position may involve collaboration with developers, business stakeholders, and vendors, and requires participation in continuous improvement activities and after-hours monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and document testing strategy for customer-facing websites and mobile applications.
  • Review use cases to ensure they meet the defined business requirements.
  • Identify testing methods, risks, and regression tests for functionality to be tested.
  • Test for data integrity and user interface functionality.
  • Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders during the testing life cycle.
  • Ensure quality for customer-facing products in both web and mobile app environments.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Evaluate user interface to ensure ease of use and that it is customer friendly.
  • Interact with and run automated test suites and interpret the results.
  • Review technical specifications for completeness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and developing strategies for improvements.
  • Conduct strategy sessions with partners and service providers and participate in the implementation of new vendor software and future planning sessions.
  • Assist junior testers in resolving issues and share technical and system knowledge.
  • Participate in after-hours monitoring rotation for user support.
  • Perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing to ensure consistent quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Information Systems, MIS, BIS, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Assurance experience involving customer-facing web applications.
  • Experience with functional testing, smoke testing, regression testing, integration testing, positive and negative testing, system testing, and end-to-end testing of web-based applications.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, Playwright, and REST Assured or similar.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills within user interfaces.
  • Ability to write test plans and test cases and communicate bugs effectively.
  • Experience with 508 compliance and accessibility regulations.
  • Experience defining full life cycle Quality Assurance processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of users and teammates.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and file layouts into test cases and automated scripts.
  • Ability to perform unit, system, and performance testing.
  • Ability to produce status reports and communicate project status regularly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and notation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience with AI-driven automation.
  • Practical use of AI/LLMs for generating, maintaining, or self-healing test suites.
  • Hands-on expertise in building robust E2E test frameworks using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Experience with cross-browser testing, API testing, CI/CD integration, and custom reporting.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools.
  • Experience with Sauce Labs or similar tools.
  • Experience with Mobile App Automation using Appium or similar tools.
  • Experience with AQA web accessibility testing software or similar tools.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in related fields such as Information Systems, MIS, BIS, or equivalent experience.
