Quality Assurance Analyst / Software Tester (Remote)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and/or automated test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives).
• Conduct regression, smoke, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) as needed.
• Contribute to test automation scripts (if applicable, e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman).
• Ensure compliance with QA best practices and industry standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software testing (manual or automation).
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs (Postman/Swagger), and web/mobile testing.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written/verbal communication (remote collaboration is key!).

Nice to Have

• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Playwright).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• ISTQB or similar certification.
• Background in [specific industry, e.g., fintech, healthcare, gaming].
