The Retail Brand Experience (RBX) team focuses on designing and delivering Target's in-store experience to position us as America's favorite discovery destination. Key Responsibilities

  • Support guest-led, holistic in-store experience strategies, including in-store marketing and space presentation (product merchandising) to drive the business across all cycles.
  • Develop the floor pad architecture, including fixture and mannequin placement (if relevant) and messaging strategy.
  • Write clear and actionable detailed deliverable briefs highlighting messaging hierarchy, photography needs, and signage placement.
  • Kick off detailed concept work with creative partners and evaluate concepts against strategic objectives.
  • Prepare for leader alignment reviews, which may include physical build-out in mock stores or digital presentations.
  • Support division-specific projects that occur off-cycle as needed.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchants, Planning, Product Design, SPT, RBX Partners, Creative, GMS, Site Merch & Store Ops to execute presentation concepts and omnichannel strategies.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and ensure RBX guidelines, including Legal & Safety and Brand standards, are consistently maintained.
  • Manage work within the defined budget and drive process and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Design or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years relevant visual merchandising and/or marketing experience (strongly preferred).
  • Experience authoring successful creative briefs.
  • Strong sense of composition and design detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to navigate complexity amidst ambiguity.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Smartsheet.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Design
