About the Role

This is an SDET position for Big Data ETL testing. The role involves working on a project team to review functional requirements, write and execute ETL test cases, validate results using reporting tools, and facilitate the defect management process. Although the position is 100% remote, candidates should be local to the Reston VA area. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL, Data warehouse, Big Data, and ETL Testing, and possess skills in test automation and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Review functional requirements and develop effective testing strategies.
Write and execute ETL test cases to validate data processing and transformations.
Validate results using reporting tools.
Facilitate the defect management process.
Work on a project team to ensure quality and accuracy of Big Data ETL processes.

Requirements

5+ years experience as a SDET with hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium Java and/or Python.
Proficiency in Back End Testing (ETL) with the ability to write complex SQL statements.
Experience with Big Data ETL testing (Hadoop, Cloudera, Hive).
Knowledge of AWS Cloud services, including S3, Redshift, Jenkins CI/CD.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective testing strategies.
Candidates should be local to the Reston VA area.
