About the Role

The role is for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on automation, testing, and quality assurance in a technology environment. The position involves establishing milestones, monitoring adherence to plans, identifying delivery risks, and driving mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to plans and schedules.
  • Identify delivery risks and obtain/drive mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Define and execute relevant business scenarios to satisfy real-world business needs.
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.
  • Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements, integrating them into business processes.
  • Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
  • Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, and test execution.
  • Document all problems and assist in their resolution.
  • Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant.
  • Perform quality audits across various IT functions to ensure standards, procedures, and methodologies are followed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 years of overall QA testing experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hand-coded Python scripting experience.
  • Must have automated testing experience.
  • QA testing experience with Java is required.
  • 5 years of Windows software QA and testing experience in an agile environment using Scrum.
  • Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail.
  • Experience with scripting languages including JavaScript, Jscript, VBScript, C#, Python, etc.
  • Experience with API testing.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of Web Services, ELK Logging, REST/JSON, Jenkins, Splunk, Swagger.
  • Experience with media planning and buying workflows and/or software systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar, or equivalent work experience.
