About the Role

This is an SDET position focused on Big Data ETL testing, primarily involving AWS S3, Redshift, Jenkins CI/CD, and test automation using Selenium with Java/Python. The role involves developing and executing test plans, identifying software issues, and supporting overall software quality. The position is remote with onsite work required once quarterly, and candidates local to the DMW area are highly preferred. It is a 6+ month contract with a good chance for extensions.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for analyzing moderately complex requirements, operational problems, specifications, and change requests.
Produce test plans and test cases to identify potential code defects and determine their scope.
Monitor the accuracy and thoroughness of test cases, scripts, and data within scheduled dates.
Perform test execution of assigned test cases.
Research and provide technical support on operational/test system defects and propose solutions.
Analyze test results to ensure functionality meets requirements and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and software modification.
Consult with development engineers to resolve problems.
Provide feedback for technical appraisals of systems, interfaces, and software.
Guide and mentor a team of testers, including supporting associates, contractors, and third-party resources.

Requirements

Experience with AWS S3, Redshift, Jenkins CI/CD, and test automation using Selenium with Java/Python.
Ability to develop, modify, and execute software test plans and scripts.
Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and identify defects.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science.
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
Experience analyzing requirements, operational problems, and change requests.
Ability to produce and monitor detailed test cases and data.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science.
Or in lieu of degree, 4+ years of relevant work experience.
