About the Role

The Senior Digital Media Specialist is a staff position that provides opportunities to use initiative and mature judgment in a variety of tasks designed to support and advance the Advocacy Program and the law school. The role involves developing multimedia content, managing digital platforms, and collaborating with various teams to promote the program's mission within a fast-paced, academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality visual, video, and multimedia materials for a variety of platforms including websites, social media, digital signage, and academic course content.
  • Design and implement branded templates and forms for data collection and internal workflows.
  • Publish posts according to the established social media content calendar.
  • Monitor analytics to refine strategy and improve performance.
  • Draft and structure templates in Microsoft Word.
  • Provide technical assistance and training for students with document formatting in Microsoft Word.
  • Collaborate with the Advocacy team to ensure content relevance, engagement, and goal alignment.
  • Create video content for training and orientation purposes.
  • Design and create illustrations and other graphics.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a communication platform for coaches, judges, and teams.
  • Create and edit content with a focus on quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the Advocacy Program's databases to ensure data accuracy, availability, and security.
  • Participate in strategic planning and program implementation to further the Advocacy Program's mission.
  • Work with the Vice President, Advocacy and other departments to engage alumni and market the Advocacy Program.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Vice President, Advocacy on a regular basis.
  • Comply with all aspects of the Law School's Customer Service Standards.
  • Help to advance the mission of the law school and the Advocacy Program.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Deep knowledge of social media trends and engagement strategy.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, analytics tools, and other content creation software.
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro, Audacity, or other media editing software.
  • Experience managing projects from concept to completion.
  • Ability to turn a concept into compelling content.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex data.
  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate math and analyze numerical data.
  • Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications or relevant field preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in a related setting preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a non-profit or academic setting.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $62,500.00 - $74,500.00 USD.
