About the Role

The Senior Director, DTC Growth Marketing is responsible for driving profitability and revenue growth for Melissa & Doug's direct-to-consumer channels, including .com, retail stores, and social commerce. The role involves developing long-term vision and strategy to enhance DTC capabilities, leading industry best practices, managing agency and tech partnerships, overseeing paid search and affiliate programs, collaborating on brand campaigns, and coaching a high-performing team. The position is based in Wilton, CT, within a leading global children's toy, entertainment, and digital gaming company committed to innovation, integrity, and open-mindedness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy to deliver ongoing revenue growth and enhance DTC capabilities.
  • Be a thought leader for the organization and Executive Leadership teams on best practices for profitable DTC growth.
  • Develop social commerce strategy through platforms like TikTok Shop and explore emerging platforms to connect with shoppers.
  • Manage current agencies and tech partners, and assess future partnership needs.
  • Oversee paid search and affiliate programs, collaborating with the Brand team on marketing mix plans to drive traffic and revenue.
  • Provide industry insights and ensure the platform remains efficient and cutting-edge to deliver measurable growth.
  • Collaborate with the Brand & Creative team to bring the M&D brand and campaigns to life across owned DTC channels.
  • Manage ongoing measurement and learning initiatives to optimize site performance and marketing spend.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience with a focus on leading brand growth in the DTC channel.
  • Proven track record in growing businesses through digital marketing tactics.
  • Deep proficiency in paid social, social commerce, and digital ad buying platforms and ad tech.
  • Strong understanding of the full D2C tech stack and ability to leverage tools for agility and growth.
  • Experience with measurement and learning agendas to optimize marketing practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in transforming brand strategy into successful media and commerce strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading brands with multi-channel distribution beyond D2C.
