About the Role

As the Sr. Director, Marketing, MARRIOTT MEDIA you will be responsible for driving integrated marketing, brand awareness, industry engagement, as well as the creative and communications strategy for Marriott's rapidly growing media network. You will oversee marketing campaigns and support public relations efforts to position MARRIOTT MEDIA as the leading commerce media network in the hospitality space, and a leading commerce media network in the industry broadly. This role reports directly to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Marriott Media and involves leading a team of in-house and outsourced creative and marketing resources, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and representing Marriott Media at industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute MARRIOTT MEDIA's integrated marketing strategy to elevate brand positioning, increase awareness, and drive industry engagement.
  • Define MARRIOTT MEDIA's external positioning, messaging, and value proposition in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage a team of marketing and creative associates, as well as external agency partners.
  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social, experiential, and content channels.
  • Partner with Marriott Global PR team and external PR agencies to raise awareness of key initiatives, partnerships, and achievements.
  • Represent MARRIOTT MEDIA at industry conferences, trade shows, and media opportunities.
  • Lead event marketing and experiential activations to support business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics, applying data-driven insights to refine messaging and optimize channels.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Develop operational strategies aligned with the brand's business goals and review financial performance against budgets.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members, set performance goals, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Promote adherence to policies, facilitate communication, and support employee growth and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years of experience in hospitality, travel, media, advertising technology, marketing, public relations, or brand communications.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing high-impact, multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Strong experience in brand building, team leadership, and creating culturally resonant marketing programs.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with media networks and advertising platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in storytelling and content development, including creative ideation.
  • Experience representing brands at industry events and conferences.
  • Creative ideation and realization experience.

Qualifications

  • Educational background as specified in requirements.
  • Experience with or within media networks and advertising platforms is preferred.
