About the Role

The Sr. Director, US Lung Marketing, is a member of the Oncology Business Unit with accountability for leading the team responsible for commercialization and driving performance of the oncology product in NSCLC within the US. This position reports directly into the Executive Director, Global Lung Marketing, and manages the US Lung Marketing team. The role involves collaboration across the Franchise Team, providing NSCLC indication leadership, and ensuring alignment and execution of various marketing initiatives. The position is accountable for the US P&L and performance versus objectives in NSCLC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving the marketing for the NSCLC indication in the US, leading a team of direct and second-line reports to ensure alignment of activities and initiatives with US NSCLC strategy and performance objectives.
  • Developing and leading the strategy, tactics, and budget for the NSCLC indication, ensuring alignment with the Global Lung Strategy.
  • Collaborating closely with Clinical, Medical Affairs, and Field Medical teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Serving as the strategic lead for all US promotional materials, aligning content with Global NSCLC leadership.
  • Directing US brand planning for NSCLC, identifying and prioritizing business opportunities.
  • Working with Insights and Data Analytics teams to assess promotional effectiveness, track brand performance, market dynamics, and competitive actions.
  • Providing business assumptions and inputs for brand performance forecasting.
  • Leading multi-channel marketing strategies, including digital, media, remote/tele-detailing, and educational resource deployment.
  • Developing and managing relationships with physician experts, attending key congresses, and building connections with US Oncology Leaders in NSCLC.
  • Providing direction for the US Field Teams' Plan of Action and training plans.
  • Serving as a key US Lung point of contact, fostering strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and Market Access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical marketing, brand strategy, and execution, with oncology experience preferred and NSCLC experience a plus.
  • Experience managing large teams (4+ members), with emphasis on people development, trust-building, and talent attraction.
  • Experience in developing long-range brand plans, budgets, and forecasts in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Strong marketing technical skills, from strategy to tactical execution, with ability to identify growth opportunities in competitive environments.
  • Experience with personal and non-personal marketing (e.g., digital, omnichannel marketing) in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of media planning and buying.
  • Expertise in managing agencies and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills for tracking and communicating metrics.
  • Ability to communicate engagement levels and project results to management and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong project and process management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, able to prioritize, and comfortable managing in complex, rapidly changing environments.
  • Good interpersonal skills internally and externally.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30%, including weekends.

Nice to Have

  • Solid understanding of oncology provider treatment environment and economics across various healthcare settings.
  • Prior pharmaceutical sales experience.
