Senior Marketing Specialist - Air Service Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Establishes sales, promotional and marketing goals to ensure share of the market and profitability of services in the assigned region.
• Regularly evaluate and monitor performance of new and current airline partners to determine levels of success in the market.
• Update short and long-range air service development plans/programs for assigned regions to ensure growth and expansion of air services.
• Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
• Research and analyze air service market data to recommend development of new services and plans for increased market penetration.
• Develop, prepare, and present air service development and support materials to promote the Houston Airport System.
• Travel to promote the Houston Airport System's services and interact with air service providers.
• Monitor aerospace, aviation industry, and airline updates for potential new air service opportunities.
• Coordinate ongoing pipeline of air service/business development opportunities, identifying targets and strategic plans.
• Conduct passenger and cargo analyses and forecasts for HAS.
• Serve as a backup for cargo air service development as needed.
• Coordinate the Air Service Incentives Program (ASIP) with participating airlines, ensuring proper communication and recordkeeping.
• Complete administrative tasks such as travel, expense reports, memos, and letters to support the Director of Air Service Development.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Five years of experience in marketing a large, global entity.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain/maintain federally mandated security clearances where required.

Nice to Have

• In-depth understanding of the aviation industry, airline networks, and network planning strategies.
• Experience with airline and/or airport operations related to this role.
• Ability to communicate clearly in all formats and deliver presentations to groups, representing the Houston Airport System.
• Expertise with aviation data tools such as CAPA, Diio, and others.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of marketing experience in a large, global entity.
