About the Role

The Senior Marketing Strategist at Highmark Health in Boise, Idaho, is responsible for developing integrated (360) marketing campaigns aimed at advancing, acquiring, retaining, and engaging various audiences including business-to-business, business-to-consumer, providers, and products and services. The role involves collaborating with marketing research, matrix partners, and external vendors to execute tactics across advertising, direct marketing, social, and digital channels. The strategist leads the development of comprehensive marketing project briefs, defines objectives, identifies key insights, and tracks campaign outcomes to refine strategies and improve ROI/ROMI. Ensuring brand alignment and adherence to guidelines, the position also involves managing budgets and communicating results to stakeholders and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated (360) marketing campaigns to advance, acquisition, retention, and engagement objectives for various audiences.
  • Work with marketing research, matrix partners, and external vendors to execute tactics including advertising, direct marketing, social, and digital strategies.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive marketing project briefs with moderate to high visibility, collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Define marketing brief objectives, identify key insights, positioning, key messages, and tracking metrics.
  • Develop forecasts for marketing activities, responses, and leads.
  • Create business cases to support new marketing strategies, budget requests, projects, and marketing plans.
  • Ensure the execution of high-quality marketing strategies within defined timeframes.
  • Lead communication of marketing plans and outcomes to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure brand alignment to increase brand awareness and equity.
  • Manage project budgets in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Track and measure marketing outcomes including activities, responses, leads, sales, retention, and ROI/ROMI.
  • Evaluate campaign outcomes, analyze customer insights, and monitor competitive and environmental trends to refine current and develop future marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience developing integrated (360) marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Ability to collaborate with research teams, partners, and vendors to execute marketing tactics.
  • Strong project management skills to lead the development of marketing briefs and campaigns.
  • Experience in tracking and measuring marketing outcomes and ROI/ROMI.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Knowledge of brand management and adherence to corporate, federal, and state guidelines.
  • Budget management experience in marketing projects.
