About the Role

The Senior Merchant Marketing Manager at Early Warning is responsible for setting the vision and managing the growth of merchant marketing campaigns, particularly driving the Paze marketing strategy. The role involves campaign planning, onboarding new merchants, agency management, asset approvals, and ensuring adherence to brand and merchant guidelines. The position requires collaboration with Paze Merchants, Bank Partners, and various internal teams such as marketing, sales, legal, and product. The role is based in a hybrid work environment in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York, and involves working in a trusted financial services company that has powered and protected the U.S. financial system for over thirty years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sets the vision for merchant marketing and drives consistent strategy and execution across enterprise merchants.
  • Participates in the development and management of merchant marketing toolkit and assets for Paze merchant campaigns and Paze Program.
  • Provides marketing support for new merchant onboarding, including coordinating public relations, social media, and marketing plans with merchants.
  • Leads merchant marketing material reviews with partners and Early Warning's brand strategy team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Oversees marketing projects and leads complex, cross-functional initiatives, including setting processes, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners including marketing teams, legal, finance, product, and sales.
  • Assists in other marketing activities, such as supporting agile marketing needs and related tasks.
  • Supports the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • 10 or more years of experience in marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles and working directly with partners.
  • Experience working for a start-up or high-growth organization.
  • 3-5 years experience creating and developing marketing programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and active listening skills.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Strong cross-functional team collaboration skills with the ability to excel at both strategy and execution.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, organized, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Background check and drug screening clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Marketing experience in financial services or fintech.
  • MA or MBA degree.

Qualifications

  • Formal education including a bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
  • Significant marketing experience, specifically 10+ years.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and working with partners.
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Proficiency in managing large, cross-functional projects.
