We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in Lafayette, LA, to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications for our clients. The role involves working in a team environment, taking direction from solution architects and leads, and leveraging the latest technologies to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and understand business requirements.
- Validate business requirements against the implementation through comprehensive testing.
- Produce client deliverables such as detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
- Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality to promote client satisfaction.
- Act as an Agile tester, flexible to play multiple roles in the team.
- Share knowledge with the team through training, documents, etc.
- Develop and execute automated testing scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, and other tools.
- Independently manage assigned tasks.
- Be responsible for quality analysis.
- Coach and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in functionality testing, performance testing, automation testing, and mobile testing.
- Experience in test estimation, test planning, and test reporting.
- Hands-on experience with automated tools such as Selenium, SoapUI, Rest Assured, Cucumber, and JMeter.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and hands-on experience with Jenkins.
- Experience with at least one of the following databases: Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, or DB2.
- Deep understanding of automation test framework design and automation testing.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Good time management and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to learn new technologies as required by projects.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms.
- Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, including ethical considerations.
