About the Role

This is a full-time, direct-hire role employed directly by the client. The position involves joining a high-impact Tools Engineering team supporting developers, QA engineers, and traders. The role is based in New York City and offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to develop advanced testing and automation frameworks for front-office trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop tools and automation frameworks in Python based on user requirements.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.
Support and improve a custom framework used across development, QA, and trading teams.
Troubleshoot issues related to the Linux OS and front-office trading systems.
Maintain strong focus on quality, usability, and performance in fast-paced trading environments.

Requirements

7-10+ years of experience in the financial industry, particularly front-office trading.
10+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
Deep understanding of the FIX protocol and market data concepts.
Strong knowledge of financial asset classes including stocks, options, and market connectivity.
Expert in building scalable automation frameworks using Pytest.
Proficient with Linux OS and Git version control.

Nice to Have

Experience with Docker containers.
Familiarity with Java and Perl.
Background in back-office and clearing systems.

Qualifications

Experience in the financial industry, particularly front-office trading.
Hands-on Python development experience.
