Senior Social Media Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage social media strategy aligned to business growth and talent attraction.
• Manage GDIT's LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube handles/accounts.
• Author, create, and publish engaging social media content to influence the market, customers, and potential job candidates.
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop and execute paid and organic social media campaigns.
• Deliver KPI metrics, insights, and ROI for organic and paid campaigns tied to tangible business impact.
• Keep a pulse on social landscape, trends, best practices, and platform updates.
• Monitor the market, competitors, and company mentions with social listening tools.
• Manage and grow the GDIT social advocacy program.
• Support crisis communications operations.
• Support special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in social media and/or marketing platforms in a corporate setting.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional communication and content creation skills.
• Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, social media best practices, and KPIs.

• Experience developing content in social media and/or marketing platforms in a corporate setting.
• Knowledge of social media trends and platform updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
