About the Role

The Senior Solution Engineer - UK at Snowflake is responsible for solving complex data challenges for customers in the UK market. The role involves working directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, demonstrate Snowflake's technology, and support customers throughout their evaluation and adoption process. The engineer shares a passion for data solutions, continuously learns new skills, and translates technical features into business value for technical and executive audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Present Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation
Create and develop technical champions in accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win
Confidently present Snowflake roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects
Maintain a deep understanding of industry, competitive, and complementary technologies and position Snowflake accordingly
Collaborate with other sales engineers to learn from wins and losses
Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's products and marketing
Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events
Work with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and collaborate on account strategies
Contribute to and execute account and territory plans while engaging with the broader ecosystem

Requirements

Solution engineering/solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.)
Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
Understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology
Hands-on experience with SQL
Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake solutions
Customer-facing skills to effectively communicate vision both written and verbal

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Python
Experience working with modern data technology (e.g., dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, git, etc.)
Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies
