Our Technology team has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain. Whether it's online or in our stores, the work that the IT team does is instrumental in PetSmart's success. We have a strategic and actionable plan underway and are looking for associates who are just as excited about it as we are.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the product lifecycle that serves pet parents and associates.
  • Define the vision for product(s) driven by data, insights, and research that aligns with PetSmart's overall strategic vision and goals.
  • Develop, prioritize, communicate, and provide leadership with a product roadmap that creates best-in-class customer experiences based on understanding of the customer across channels.
  • Define all KPIs for success of the products on the roadmap; continuously monitor KPIs post-implementation to validate hypotheses and identify future enhancement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Business Stakeholders to define tests for upcoming initiatives and areas of opportunity for optimization.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, gather requirements, discuss prioritization, and communicate product updates through various methods.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to maintain a backlog of feature requests and a product roadmap.
  • Understand technical issues to make decisions around prioritizing new features, reducing technical debt, and improving resiliency.
  • Proactively identify innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing technology or technical product management, focusing on CRM, digital marketing communications (Email, SMS, Push), personalization strategies, and media platforms.
  • Deep understanding of media channels, CRM strategies, customer identity resolution, and personalization techniques; retail or similar consumer-focused industry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and executing customer identity strategies for personalized customer engagement across owned and paid channels.
  • Experience working within Cloud Platforms or similar tools (e.g., GCP, AWS, Snowflake, Data Bricks).
  • Experience working within Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Hightouch, or similar tools.
  • Expertise in digital advertising, identity resolution, and audience segmentation.
  • Ability to translate marketing strategies into clear technical requirements and roadmaps.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and Waterfall methodology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between business and technical teams.
  • Ability to work with and through others to resolve issues.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and deal with ambiguity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, NeuStar, Google Marketing Platform, The Trade Desk, Meta Ads, or similar, especially related to personalized campaign execution and identity-based targeting.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Teams, and Lucid Charts.
  • Release management experience.
  • Production support experience.
