Senior Test Automation Engineer (aka Quality Assurance)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Testing Financial Services applications developed in Java and web-based applications.
• Developing new tests and supporting existing regression tests on a keyword-based UFT framework.
• Writing VB Script code for UFT scripts and coding for Java/Selenium projects.
• Coordinating with development and manual QA teams.
• Writing test cases and building automated testing tools and scripts.
• Working with a remote QA team and supporting the QA environment.
• Executing various levels of testing of the products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field plus 7 years of software testing experience, or Master's degree plus 5 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of UFT programming experience.
• At least 5 years of strong SQL experience in Oracle and MySQL.
• At least 5 years of Java/Selenium programming experience.
• Hands-on experience writing VB Script code and coding Java/Selenium projects.
• Experience with keyword/data driven automation frameworks.
• Experience testing Web Services using SoapUI or equivalent tool.
• Experience with RTC and Jenkins.
• Experience in Industrial Agile Methodology.
• Experience testing single page applications.
• Ability to research technologies and methodologies to improve testing practices.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to be detail-oriented and multitask.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Web Services testing.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems and utilities.
• Self-motivated, quick learner, creative problem solver, organized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant software testing experience.
