About the Role

FleishmanHillard, a global communications agency, has an immediate opening for a Senior Vice President influencer strategist for our Brand Marketing practice. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for a passionate proactive communications professional with strong influencer strategy to be a part of a collaborative team across a range of clients and sectors. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in executing best-in-class work across growing accounts, envisioning, translating, and incorporating influencer relations strategies into larger integrated marketing communications programs including activation both online and offline, with influencers of all types and tiers. The role involves working with integrated teams to use influence to meet client objectives and grow revenue, emphasizing diversity and inclusion in the agency culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Envision, translate, and incorporate influencer relations strategies into larger integrated marketing communications programs including activation both online and offline.
  • Work with integrated teams across the firm to use influence to meet client objectives and grow revenue.
  • Develop and lead the execution of end-to-end influencer relations, including identification, vetting, negotiation, content direction, relationship management, measurement, and analysis.
  • Provide strategic counsel and lead development of integrated influencer campaigns across brand portfolios and businesses.
  • Develop strategic influencer campaigns based on business objectives and audience insights, including storytelling, multi-channel distribution, amplification, and measurement.
  • Coordinate influencer-created content across social and digital ecosystems and collaborate with third parties to bring content to life.
  • Advise clients on leveraging different influencer tiers and verticals using data and filters to determine influence.
  • Activate influencers across platforms and spaces, understanding mutual value exchange and campaign types (earned, sponsored, experiential).
  • Give strategic direction to influencers and collaborate with agency teams, clients, and influencers to produce high-performing content.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulatory and promotional rules, including FTC disclosure guidelines.
  • Negotiate contracts and achieve optimal value exchange between clients and influencers, managing terms, rates, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze performance metrics using tools like Omni, Tagger, and others to assess ROI and campaign success.
  • Develop and negotiate strategic affiliate marketing partnerships and understand social commerce dynamics.
  • Manage paid social programs involving influencer-created content across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Engage with and counsel senior decision-makers across client organizations to align influencer strategies with business goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for organic and influencer growth, including pitching new ideas.
  • Manage processes related to influencer contracting, legal, invoicing, data collection, and risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to building and cultivating diverse teams and fostering an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • At least 10-12+ years of integrated marketing and/or communications experience at an agency, including 6-8 years of hands-on influencer program strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end influencer relations, including identification, vetting, negotiation, content direction, and measurement.
  • Advanced experience in integrated communications strategy development and understanding of owned, earned, and paid media roles.
  • Excellent relationship skills, ability to work collaboratively, and a positive, high-energy approach to client service.
  • Ability to scale influencer campaigns across audiences, platforms, and objectives, with knowledge of audience segmentation and consumer journey.
  • Strong content planning, storytelling, and narrative development skills for influencer voices across channels.
  • Understanding of filters and benchmarks for influence, and advising clients on influencer tiers and verticals using data.
  • Experience activating influencers across platforms and spaces, including earned, sponsored, and experiential campaigns.
  • Proven ability to give strategic direction to influencers and collaborate with teams and clients to produce high-quality content.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulatory and promotional rules, including FTC disclosure guidelines.
  • Negotiation skills to achieve optimal value exchange and manage contracts at all tiers.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and apply data insights to planning and ROI evaluation.
  • Understanding of social commerce, affiliate marketing, and influencer compensation models.
  • Expertise in social media strategy, including emerging platforms, and managing paid social influencer programs.
  • Experience engaging with senior decision-makers and building client relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing contracts, legal, invoicing, and data collection processes.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risks across legal, regulatory, insurance, and financial areas.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with influencer vetting and reporting tools such as Sprout Social, Traackr, Talkwalker.
  • Knowledge of emerging social platforms and trends.
  • Experience in new business development and pitching for influencer-related opportunities.
