The position involves elevating the importance of pet food categories with retailers, enriching the lives of pets and their owners, and leading strategic development and execution of account-specific marketing plans to drive profitability, sales, and brand equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and execution of account-specific marketing plans and programming to drive profitability, sales, and brand equity with customers.
  • Apply brand, shopper, and retailer insights to develop differentiated shopper marketing programs that generate demand along the path to purchase.
  • Work with agency partners and internal teams to develop and execute customer-specific programs that build equity and drive positive business results at retail.
  • Influence and align customer and internal teams on relevant programs and strategies.
  • Support shopper marketing strategy development and program sell-in with customers.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal teams at Purina, including Sales, Brand Marketing, and Media Centers of Excellence, as well as with external customer teams and retail media network teams.
  • Lead briefings with external agencies and retail media network partners, developing and overseeing campaign strategy, tactics, execution, and results.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and align sales goals, prioritizing plans for effectiveness.
  • Act as the primary interface with customers’ marketing and digital departments.
  • Drive ecommerce and digital innovation in shopper marketing by developing, testing, and sharing results of new applications and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Media, Category, ecommerce, or agency environment.

Nice to Have

  • 1+ years of experience in leveraging consumer and shopper insights to develop customer or brand effective strategies and marketing programs.
  • 1+ years of experience working in the consumer packaged goods industry and/or shopper marketing experience.

Qualifications

  • Educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
