Short Term Property Rental Business and Marketing Director

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize listings on major booking platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and VRBO, including content creation, updates, and monitoring.
• Administer the property management platform to handle room assignments, digital door codes, guest guides, online payments, and guest communications.
• Create and post engaging blog content on the resort's website to enhance visibility and guest engagement.
• Capture high-quality photos and videos to showcase the resort's amenities and unique features.
• Manage and post content on the resort's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) to build brand awareness.
• Compose professional, AI-assisted emails to engage prospective guests and promote bookings.
• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from potential guests, particularly for group stays and extended bookings.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive guest experience from inquiry to check-out.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners for housekeeping, maintenance, landscaping, and security to ensure smooth operations.
• Share “on-call” responsibilities, including occasional weekend and overnight shifts, to address urgent situations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies by arriving on-site as needed, acting as a professional representative of the resort.
• Work closely with cross-functional team members to identify solutions, improve processes, and support the resort's growth.

Requirements

• Proficient in navigating and managing online platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, property management software).
• Experience with website content management and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
• Comfortable with photography, content creation, and email composition (AI tool experience a plus).
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset, particularly in handling inquiries for group or extended stays.
• Familiarity with short-term rental operations, including vendor coordination for housekeeping, maintenance, and security.
• Willingness to share on-call duties, including weekends and overnights, with the ability to respond promptly to on-site emergencies.
• Collaborative, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively with diverse teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in property management, hospitality, or a similar role is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-call duties.
• Reasonable proximity to West Bay for availability onsite as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools for email composition and content creation.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field (preferred)
