About the Role

The Social Media & Digital Advertising Associate will manage and grow our digital presence through compelling content creation, strategic advertising campaigns, and analytics-driven performance tracking. This role is ideal for a creative self-starter who understands the nuances of digital engagement in the nonprofit space and has a passion for community and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms
Design and implement paid digital ad campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.)
Track performance metrics and provide monthly analytics reports with actionable insights
Support email marketing efforts with occasional content creation and segmentation support
Coordinate with program staff to capture, curate, and repurpose photo/video content
Monitor trends and adjust strategy to improve engagement, reach, and conversions
Maintain consistent visual and messaging alignment with brand guidelines
Engage with followers and support community management in collaboration with internal teams

Requirements

2+ years experience managing social media and/or paid digital advertising (nonprofit or mission-driven preferred)
Proficiency with digital tools including Meta Business Suite, Canva, Google Ads, and Mailchimp or similar platforms
Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills
Experience using analytics tools to guide strategy (e.g. Meta Insights, Google Analytics)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently
Familiarity with the Mountain West region and its communities a plus
Commitment to the mission and values of environmental education, equity, and access
